Last year approximately 4 months ago I pay visit to East Java to attend my cousin’s wedding. We originaly planned to only spend 3-4 nights there, but because of my dad’s error we eventualy got ‘stuck’ there for about 11 days. So after the wedding at Surabaya we headed to Malang to my uncle’s house and stay there for the rest of the days. Malang is a gorgeous city to me. The high elevation, freezing temperature, unstressful traffic is somewhat a guy from Jakarta can call it a dream.

My uncle is always into old motorcycle & 4×4. He previously had a plenty of vintage motorcycle collection, but because of a little financial problem he had to let go most of them. This RS100 is one of the remaining from his collection. It just parked outside with no shade or cover on it. So with the boredom whacking on me (no proper internet connection, had no idea where i was, my uncle’s car was forced to be hidden because of a little accident, my uncle forced me to stay at house because of the unstable neighborhood situation) I decided to shot this bike. I originally wanted to take this bike for a ride and find some nice location shoot it (with my uncle of course, riding there alone with a frail old motorcycle with camera hanging on your body would be suicide), but it won’t start. So I just shoot it at my uncle’s house carport.

The bike itself… I honestly didn’t really get much information of this bike, as my uncle become quiet busy with his work so I was too shy ask more about his bike. I’m not even so sure that this is a 1977 Yamaha RS100 (anyone please help me?), but that’s what my uncle told me when I once ask him LOL. But by the look of it’s engine it runs mostly stock.

Like any other unplanned shot it was just me, my camera, and a CPL filter. I don’t use the filter though because it was cloudy when i do the shot. Anyway enough rambling, enjoy the picture. 🙂
